Meet Sara

I create abstract and botanical art using a photographic process called cyanotype, producing unique blueprints.

Cyanotype making is not toxic. It does not require a camera. All I need is paper, sunshine, water and a subject.

My projects always start with a love affair with a specific place. I usually move to a place with plenty of nature and I root there for a while. Then, I make a body of work with a unique aspect of the ecosystem of that place.

My latest work are cyanotypes made with palms, created in Baja, Mexico.

See me at work

Early 2020 I traveled to the island of Mallorca to collaborate with videographer Laura Caldés for the making of a short video about my work.

Revel in the beauty of Mallorca while learning about my art making process.
