Blueprints from Baja: 'Robusta' #5

$350.00
Sold

When in Baja, the fan palm reminds you of paradise everywhere you go. In these cyanotypes they take on both abstract and geometric guises. Brighten up your space with a slice of Baja blue. Make them stand out on their own, or make an impression by pairing multiple.

This format in the ‘Blueprints from Baja’ series has not been shown anywhere and is exclusively available in my web shop.

Washingtonia robusta, commonly know as the Mexican fan palm, is a palm tree native to the Baja California peninsula. You’ll see these palms waving in the coastal breeze and you’ll see them integrated in ‘palapa’ roofs and in fences.

While in Baja in the Winter of 2022, I got pretty intimate with the fan palm. I lived in a cabaña made out of fan palms. And I was immediately drawn to the stunning geometry of the palms that were growing on my driveway. I decided to work with the fan palm exclusively during my time there. The results are now yours to enjoy!
