These cyanotypes are the ones that kicked off my Baja Palm series. They are the smallest format available in the Baja collection, making them a great fit for any space. On their own, they stand out. Together, they tell a story.

Washingtonia robusta, commonly know as the Mexican fan palm, is a palm tree native to the Baja California peninsula. You’ll see these palms waving in the coastal breeze and you’ll see them integrated in ‘palapa’ roofs and in fences.

While in Baja in the Winter of 2022, I got pretty intimate with the fan palm. I lived in a cabaña made out of fan palms. And I was immediately drawn to the stunning geometry of the palms that were growing on my driveway. I decided to work with the fan palm exclusively during my time there.

Size: 10 x 14 inches • 24 x 34 cm

Details: Unique, original cyanotype on Canaletto ‘Grano Grueso’ watercolor paper 300 gr. Unframed. Signed, titled, and dated by the artist on the back. Signature on the front.

Made in: El Pescadero, Baja California Sur (Mexico) in January 2022

This piece ships from the Continental US. If your destination is not in my list of shipping options, contact me so I can figure out the best shipping method for you!
