Island #08
The ‘Island’ series was created on Mallorca in the first week of lockdown. Due to cancelled flights and lucky coincidence, I was ‘forced’ to shelter in place in a small house in the countryside of Llucmajor.
I made these using the beautiful, red, local soil, on the few sheets of paper I had left. Although this was not my intention, the resulting cyanotypes look like maps of islands. Unique pieces, obviously, and there’s only 12 of them!

Details: Original cyanotype on Michel Econobloc watercolor paper 280 gr. Unframed. Signed, titled, and dated by the artist on the back.
