‘Nube’ was made ‘action painting style’ on a small beach near Palma. I made all three ‘Nube’ cyanotypes in a flash, right before sunset. I worked with ocean water, and with seaweed sediment that was on the beach. The salty water of the Balearic Sea created an embossed effect on the paper, adding a beautiful depth to these works.
These cyanotypes are unique, and will never be reproduced! ‘Nube’ is a ‘triptych’, a series of 3 artworks, though they can be bought and hung separately. Craving a dip in the ocean? Bring the Balearic Sea into your home with these unique artworks!
